Aliens and UFO's

Someone once wrote that the most asked about topic, with regards to FoI, is Aliens and UFO’s.  Cool isn't it?  All the data that the government pumps out and we look at UFO’s.  There are societies and people who help work on this matter (such as Nick Pope & British UFO Research Association), but what can we, the amature UFO hunters, find from the FoI act UFO’s?  There are two issues on this case.  The first thing is a lot of aliens files were released to the national archive for you to view as and when you please, as a result a lot of the information is already in the public domain. .The second thing is the department of the MOD that looked into UFO’s has now closed, so a lot of the information the government  would have had has now been lost. That doesn't mean that they still don't hold it, does it?

First off let's look at what people have found out already. A simple look at UFO on www.whatdotheyknow.com shows the following results.  At time of writing, there were 137 results.  So let's have a look at what was successful.  The first one is my own to the military police about paranormal events.  It was an interesting answer! Now the other cool thing that I found was this.  This is a list of all UFO sighting that the government have a record of up until 2009.  It is also worth noting that Lancashire Constabulary noted 26 UFO Sightings since 2005.  Also have a little look at the response from Essex County Council; classic British Humor! Also let's have a little look at the Civil Aviation Authority response.  Pretty good, eh?

Now the thing it is not what you can prove, it is also what they refused and don't hold too.  Here is a list of FoI request where the information was not held.  Now this is an interesting one.  This was about a crash of alien ships on Caldbeck in Cumbria March 4th 1954.  The interesting thing is that the MoD stated that they would not hold that file and referred to the national archive.  Who says that there is a government coverup? Now this is an interesting one to the Department of Health. Top of the tree crazy!  Makes you think, thought if there is a better way to ask this question… Another FoI request, maybe? Incidentally, Mark Smith, the guy who wrote the FoI request previously, asked some other FoI requests in a similar vain.

Now the thing is the ones that were refused. As we all know, the government do not want to recognise the files of aliens.  At time of writing there have only been 13 requests refused, of which one of those was mine.  Which makes me wonder what was the reason for refusal.  My one was refused because they thought I was taking the mick, and so were most of the others. The thing is if you looked at the wording of some of them (Mine included) were total done inappropriately.  Maybe some refinement is needed?

So what have we learnt in our journey today then kids?  Well, there is far more information that we thought.  Not only that a lot of the requests have been answered with as much as information as possible (remember section 16?).  Now here is the thing, there is actually a legal framework for the reporting of UFOs to the world. They have to go through the UN and then onto the rest of the world. Not only that there are a lot of professional people who do this work more than I do.  What we have discovered is that the government HAS actually done some work on this.

The thing is, it makes me think what else in in the background…  where  else can we take this?
