Things you find on Gov.co.uk

I love having a little look on Gov.co.uk to have a little look at what the government is saying.  Until you start to browse around it (and ask some very serious questions) you have no idea of how much is there.  You can find what you need to be a weapons dealer, how many cars are in a given area, and many more.  So when you start to look around the web site it's not surprising that you find things on there that you wouldn't normally get. Did you know that London has held 5 Strategic Dialogue Sessions (Neither do I) with Vietnam?  Did you know that we had been training Ukrainian Forces to help protect them from aggressors?  See, it goes to show you what you can find on there.

With all that information being pumped out, it makes you wonder how easy it is to find the important stuff OR sort out the important stuff into what is important at the moment and what WILL be important later on. So I decided to look at both of the above issues and see what may from them both.

You can look through the news yourself for information on what has happened to the Ukraine, right now let's have a look at what we are going with them. The first question should be what are we arming them with.  This would give us some very interesting information on how severe the situation and what the British Government thinks it needs to give them.  A qick search of www.whatdotheyknow.com also brings up this little beauty.  An interesting thing that we can consider.

Sticking with the Ukraine a little longer, let’s have a think about what they think of the country's people and government. Let's have a look at how many people have been granted asylum since 2012.  That will at least show us what they think of the government treatment of people.  What about the government itself?  They must have a good relationship with them if they are sending arms and medical help, but diplomatically are they any good?  Only one way to find out.

Vietnam. To most people a war, but to the people who live there, a country.  Part of the meetings that we have had with Vietnam show that they are talking about education.  What do the Department of Education have to say about that one?  Only time will tell.  What does it matter?  Remember when two countries agree to swap and share information, it means that they trust one another and shows that they are trying to work with each other.  It also shows what they think is the most important issue.  Showing that education is an issue for these people, it shows that Vietnam looks at us and is envious of our education system.  BY finding out what the Department of Education thinks, it shows what we are going to do for them, and not do for them.

What else can we find on www.Gov.co.uk?
